MMASI was founded in 2020, supplying PPE and workwear to mining and transport operators across Mpumalanga and Gauteng. That work put us directly inside the day-to-day reality of industrial operations — and it’s where we first saw how much downtime, energy cost, and unreliable power infrastructure were costing the operators we worked with.
That insight shaped what MMASI has become. Over four-plus years, we’ve grown from a PPE and workwear supplier into a business that designs, supplies, and supports battery energy storage systems and sustainability strategy — while maintaining the same supply relationships, and the same on-time delivery standard, that we started with.
Every stage of that growth has been informed by the same principle: understand how a site actually operates before recommending a solution for it.
Our vision is a South African industrial sector that isn’t held back by unreliable power.
